Show Me the Asterisms!  The ET's Are on the Line!
Oph

This is why you are here.  The ET’s demand new asterisms from you, and here I supply them.  I present the 29 primary asterisms.  There are 80, but only the most interesting are shown here.  The asterisms are numbered from 01 to 80, based on the declinations of their centers.  They are shown as they would be seen from their respective hemispheres crossing the meridian from east to west.  The asterisms are not drawn to scale – the larger and the smaller asterisms are all shown in equal size.

The pages show:

The asterism number & archetype title(s)
The stars, with a sketch illustrating the archetype
The equator or ecliptic, if it passes through the asterism
An explanation of the archetype
The number of stars contributed from each of the current 88 constellations
The right ascensions and declinations of the asterism centers
The names of any stars with magnitudes 2.0 or brighter

Cru
Be prepared.  I am challenging your preconceptions about constellations.
